Coca-Cola manufacturing plant

Well aside from having a family function consisting of 27 family members and a restaurant on the weekend I explored the Coca-Cola factory in eastern creek. It’s huge. Now this isn’t the syrup place so my nutritionist inside me didn’t die so we are all clear. I went to the manufacturing plant.

Now according to the flier I got, this building was started in June 2011 and they made the first lot of performs (eventually becomes the bottle that we know and drink from) a few months later in November. These guys move fast. The land that the factory is on is owned by goodman. And last July they produced a billion of these preforms.
This manufacturing plant (offices included and the warehouse) cost57 MILLION DOLLARS! Then again it supplies caps and preforms for coca cola sites in Australia, Indonesia, Fiji and New Zealand. With only 5 preform machines they still produce over a billion preforms each year.
Of course while there are places off limits, which is a given, this hour tour was a great way to see the engineering side. While on site safety is a must!

Even the bathrooms are the couloir scheme.

These machines ( which I’m not sure if I was allowed to take pictures of) make preforms.

The cap is made on a different machine and the top to little bead like things go into making the cap while the beads (resin) down the bottom make the preform.

And the machine bellow is the one that puts the little logo on the top of the cap
